Memberships for community members who are not associated with SIU are available for the SIU Recreation Center. You can check the Southern Illinois University Rec Center Community Membership page for full detail, to verify the current cost, and to sign up.
As of the end of 2023, the cost was $45.10 a month for the first (primary) family member when paid for a year via automatic deductions ($541.20 for the year), or $486 for the year if prepaid.
One additional family member over age 18 can be added (primary + one) to total $68.03 monthly ($816.24/year) or $734.00 if prepaid.
The kids in the family can be added for $10.08 each monthly (+$121/year) or +$110 if prepaid.

This is a full membership and gives you access to the REC during all open hours. You can see the hours here that various REC center offerings are open; hours may be limited during school breaks.
